Alex Shubat brings an extensive history in executive management to his new venture as co-founder and CEO of Espresa. Most recently he served as the CEO of Goji FS – NEA-backed startup in the foodtech space. As co-founder and CEO of Virage Logic, a microchip provider based in Silicon Valley, he oversaw the company’s highly successful performance and acquisition by Synopsys. He is a member of the Band of Angels, one of Silicon Valley’s oldest seed funding organizations. He is holding board positions in a number of ventures and he is on the Industry Advisory Boards of Santa Clara University and the University of Toronto. He holds an executive MBA from Stanford University, a BS and MS in E.E. from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D. in E.E. from Santa Clara University.
