Amit Kumar joined Accel in 2016 and focuses on consumer-oriented mobile, software and payments companies.

Prior to Accel, Amit co-founded CardSpring, a payments infrastructure company, where he led engineering for its developer platform that added application capabilities to credit cards and other types of payments. Twitter subsequently acquired CardSpring, where Amit was responsible for leading engineering for several of Twitter’s commerce and customer service initiatives.

Amit is from Cupertino, California and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science.
