Ammar Hanafi

Ammar Hanafi is Co-Founder and General Partner of Moment Ventures. Moment Ventures is a seed and early stage venture capital investing in the Infrastructure of Everything (http://www.momentventures.com).

Prior to Moment, Ammar was at Alloy Ventures where he led investments in Mavenir Systems, Inc. (IPO in 2013 and acquired by Mitel in 2015) and Cortina Systems, Inc. (acquired by Inphi and Reltek in 2014) among others. Ammar currently represents Alloy Ventures on the board of directors of Agari and Hightail.

Ammar previously served as Vice President of New Business Ventures and Vice President of Corporate Business Development at Cisco Systems. During Ammar’s tenure in corporate development at Cisco, he led over 50 acquisitions and $750 million in venture capital investments. Ammar received a BS in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University (1988) and an MBA from Stanford University (1995).
