We started Summer Technologies to help the next generation of farmers drive large scale, sustainable impact in the food system. Our first product, PastureMap, tackles the $220 billion beef and dairy industry using precision analytics to make sustainable grazing practices easy for cattle ranchers. PastureMap integrates pasture imaging with soil and rainfall data to help ranchers predict grass growth and optimize herd rotation decisions. We’ve launched a beta and already have paying customers in five states and three countries. Summer Technologies won the inaugural CommonBond Social Impact Award for the top MBA social entrepreneur in the country.
