David Wu

David Wu is a successful entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and angel investor. He is currently a General Partner at Maveron, a Consumer-Only Venture Capital Firm with offices in SF and Seattle and almost $1B under management.  He led Maveron’s investments in August Home, Darby Smart, Eargo, Instamotor, and Booster Fuels and serves on each company’s board. Wu has strong ties to the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial community, and as an angel and venture capitalist has invested in over 50 startups, including Practice Fusion, Postmates, August Home, Tile, and Jaunt VR. He was previously the Internet Committee Chair on the deal screening committee for the Band of Angels, Silicon Valley’s oldest seed funding organization, and can often be seen as a recurring panelist on CNBC’s PowerPitch. David is a Bay Area native and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University. David is also an active music supporter, and he is a member of the Recording Academy and a board member of the GRAMMY Foundation.
