Joseph Wei is a Venture Partner of Skychee Ventures, and, a founding partner of Lab360 Hardware Incubactor for invested in over 20 startups. Previously, he led successful global business units at Inventec, Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI), NEC and DEC (acquired by Compaq/HP that generated over $500 million in annual revenue. He led the team at SGI that developed drivers and optimization tools that accelerated Linux in commercial and high performance applications. He is highly regarded in the VC and technical communities for his knowledge in wearable, IoT and cloud technologies. He is a senior member of IEEE, member of Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, board member and Chairman of IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, SCV; Chairman of IEEE largest Section in Silicon Valley and led the Section in winning the 2016 IEEE MGA Outstanding Large Section Award. He is a mentor of the Alchemist Accelerator and, Royse AgTech Incubator, and, an advisor of the Wearable Technologies Conference, as well as to many startups. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering degree from Tufts University.
