Kevin Hartz

Kevin is a Partner at Founders Fund and a Co-Founder and Chairman of Eventbrite. Eventbrite, the privately-held online ticketing service, has raised roughly $200M from such funds as Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global, and is valued at more than $1B. Eventbrite is Hartz’s third business, having previously founded Connect Group (acquired by SONIFI Solutions), and the money transfer company Xoom Corp (backed by Sequoia Capital, NEA, SVB Capital and Fidelity Ventures, went IPO in 2013, and then acquired by PayPal for $890M).

Founders Fund, a San Francisco-based venture-capital firm with over $3 billion under management is known for prescient bets on some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley such as Palantir, SpaceX, Airbnb, Facebook, Lyft, Asana, and Altschool.

Kevin has served as an early-stage investor and advisor to such successful startups as Airbnb, Lookout, PayPal, Pinterest, Skybox Imaging, Trulia, Uber, and Yammer.

Kevin is a graduate of University of Oxford and Stanford University.
