Marcelo Manjon is a Principal at XSeed Capital, an early stage venture capital fund. Marcelo’s investment areas include enterprise software, mobile enterprise applications, cyber security and data analytics platforms and applications. He serves as a board observer at several companies, including CirroSecure, Neon Labs and Zipline.
Marcelo is also Vice President for Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs, an alumni association that seeks to strengthen Stanford’s startup community by fostering relationships among entrepreneurs and alumni investors.
Prior to joining XSeed, Marcelo was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Optimize, the leading organization in Brazil specializing in software quality. He was responsible for day-to-day operations related to sales, marketing and operations where he helped grow the company from its conception in 2003 through its acquisition in 2011. Prior to Optimize, Marcelo successfully co-founded Unplugged Technologies, another technology company specializing in enterprise mobility applications and services, which was acquired by the Spanish company Soluziona in 2002.
Marcelo holds a BS in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo and a MS in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
