1. All attendees in "Full Participant and Exhibitor" category will have an opportunity to exhibit their product/business idea/company at the SVOD Expo. Anybody can apply to participate in the business plan competition, but only those selected by our Expert Panel will be allowed to present to the audience of venture capitalists. To be considered for the business plan competition you must indicate your interest in the application and submit your executive summary to info@svod.org [1]. Please include the word “Executive Summary” in the subject line. You can submit an up to a 3 page executive summary. You are welcome to use a generally accepted format, such as this one [1].
2. Any paid participant is allowed to post a maximum of five open positions on our job board http://www.ambarclub.org/forum/jobs [2]
3. Any paid participant can submit a one page description of their company that will be distributed along with the catalog to all conference participants. Please download this template [2], fill it out and email it to info@svod.org [3]. Important: please make sure to put your company name and the word “One Pager” in the subject line.
Deadline Checklist
October 8, 2007 - Registration deadline for companies applying to present their business plan
October 20, 2007 – Deadline for submitting one pagers and logos for the printed catalog.
October 30, 2007 - Participants of the business plan competition must submit their final PowerPoint presentations to info@svod.org [4]. Please include the name of your company and the word “Presentation” in the subject line.
November 6, 2007 - Registration deadline for general attendees
Document checklist for companies APPROVED to present their BP:
1. One paragraph summary of the company to be posted on the website. The sooner you submit it, the sooner we will post it on the website and the more exposure you will receive. Please include your logo as well. One paragraph example:
Software technology that develops precisely targeted and professionally written business plans for start-up businesses and corporate entities in foreign countries. The company's comprehensive ASAP family of Web conferencing systems is designed for training entrepreneurs oversees, and is a Flash-based suite featuring rich media capabilities including text chat, VoIP audio, video and PowerPoint presentations. SVOD Software delivers its software solutions as a subscription-based hosted service.2. Executive Summary to be distributed to the Panel of Judges. Once you are selected to present, you MUST submit a ONE PAGE executive summary that we will distribute to the Panel of Judges ONLY on the day of your presentation. We recommend that you use a format similar to this example [4].
3. Logo. It should come as a GIF or JPEG file with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi (it’s extremely important!!!, otherwise it's NOT GOOD FOR PRINT).
4. One Page Executive Summary or One Pager for the catalog. We will attach a one page summary of each presenting company to the catalog that will be distributed among all conference participants. We ENCOURAGE you to include your ONE PAGE executive summary, but if some reason you would prefer not to share this information with the general audience, you can include our standard ONE PAGER [4].
