Silicon Valley Open Doors - 2007 has ended on November 9, 2007

The third annual technology investment conference Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD-2007) has ended in the Computer History Museum (California, USA) on November 9, 2007.

The two-days event was organized by the American Business Association of Russian Professionals [1] (AmBAR). General Partner of the event was Russian Venture Company [2] (RVC).

The SVOD 2007 program featured seminars and panel discussions by industry experts in information technology, biotech, security, business services, the formation of high-tech ventures, IP protection, talent management, recruiting, product launch and marketing strategies, and raising venture capital.  A selected group of 16 start-ups, founded by the entrepreneurs originally from the FSU countries, presented their technologies and business plans to a panel of prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalists from such Silicon Valley firms as Woodside Capital Partners, Pitango Venture Capital, Institutional Venture Partners, Alloy Ventures, Canaan Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Intel Capital, Opus Capital, and Charles River Ventures.

Virturesphere [2] won the business plan competition and was announced as the Most Promising Technology Company of 2007.
Meshnetics [2] and 4HomeMedia [2] were named first and second runners-up respectively.
