Peter Loukianoff is chairman of Black River Ventures and a co-founder and seed investor of Silicon Valley Data Science (SVDS). Previously, Mr. Loukianoff co-founded and was Managing Partner of Almaz Capital, one of the first technology-oriented venture capital firm focused on the Russian/CIS market, and was a partner at Alloy Ventures. Pre-dating his venture capital experience, Mr. Loukianoff was a founding team member and operating executive with several start-ups, including Autonomy, Inc. (US), one of the pioneers in unstructured data applications, and Ubiquinet, a provider of fleet logistics and asset management software. His notable deals include Yandex (Nasdaq: YNDX), Xactly (Nasdaq: XTLY), and Qik (now Skype Mobile/Video), as well as various innovative and growing start-ups in the fields of IoT, Cloud Services, Big Data/Analytics, Fintech, Mobile Internet/Software, and Data Security. Peter earned an MBA and BS in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
