Richard Guha

Richard Guha has over 45 years business experience. Following his Bachelors degree from Cambridge University in Chemistry and Physics, he went on to get a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge. Switching to Consumer Marketing at Procter & Gamble, he became a Division GM at Mars, Inc, consulted to one third of the Fortune 500 in multiple industries, and went on to become President of Reliant Energy, a Fortune 100 company. For the past 25 years, initially as a part-time effort, but now taking up most of his time, he has been engaged in start-ups, as a founder, investor, CEO, mentor and Board Member. While engaged with approaching 1,000 startups, mostly technology enabled, but either consumer orB2B, he has been particularly deeply involved with over one dozen and their funding of over $220 Million. He currently focuses on his roles as Board Member of several and also Entrepreneur in Residence at CTNext, a program of Connecticut Innovations, one of the most active early stage investors in the country, which involves mentoring and developing startups in Connecticut.
