Takashi Suzuki has been working in the mobile communications industry for 20 years. Takashi became the Senior Managing Director of the Silicon Valley Branch of NTT DOCOMO Ventures in January of 2017. He has also been leading DOCOMO Innovations as the President and CEO since July 2016. He manages these organizations to enable the future growth of NTT DOCOMO by accelerating open innovation with U.S.-based startups.
Prior to coming to Silicon Valley, Takashi was in charge of the Device Development Department at NTT DOCOMO, and he led projects in the fields of biometric authentication, content security (DRM), and mobile device management (MDM). Through multi-party collaboration with handset manufacturers and start-up companies, his team launched mobile biometric authentication for DOCOMO in 2015. He is currently focused on AI, IoT, and security.
Takashi Suzuki holds a Master’s degree in Communication Engineering from Osaka University in 1996.
