Ben Laufer

Ben is a Principal at Edison Partners where he focuses on investments in Digital Health, Software, and FinTech. He has been involved in over $200 billion of transaction volume over the course of his career, spanning across multiple sectors and deal structures, with a particular focus on investing in and supporting growth-stage technology companies. He was previously a Director at PeakEquity Partners, a private equity firm focused on enterprise software; an investment professional at NISA, an investment manager with approximately $500 billion in AUM; an operating executive at MRI Software, a TA Associates, GI Partners and Harvest Partners jointly-owned portfolio company; an investment banker at Arbor Advisors, a software-focused investment bank; and a corporate project assistant at Proskauer Rose, a multinational, multidisciplinary law firm. Ben has also co-founded two companies, serving as Managing Partner of The Garex Group, an advisory firm that helped entrepreneur-led software businesses with management-level strategic and operational initiatives, and as CEO of Talemon Advisors, a talent management company that helped athletes, artists and entertainers monetize their brands.

Ben is passionate about sports and travel. He is also an avid musician, having toured globally with symphony orchestras, and a competitive chess player, having won the California State Championship and placed second in the United States as an amateur.

Ben holds a BA in Science, Technology and Society from Stanford University and an MBA in both Finance and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
