As a successful entrepreneur, David has also failed enough to appreciate the value of any success — big or small. His current roles as advisor and investor provide him the opportunity to help others navigate the inevitable roller coaster ride also know as a startup company.
Prior to Inspovation, David co-founded two companies — IMPAC Medical Systems and CareCore. IMPAC is the leading provider of integrated clinical and administrative information systems for cancer treatment centers. During his 16 year tenure at the company, David had numerous roles which included President International Operations, CFO and EVP. He helped guide IMPAC from garage start up, venture capital investment, and successful IPO (NASDAQ: IMPC) to its acquisition by Elekta AB, an international healthcare technology company.
At CareCore, David served as President and CEO. The company was founded to build cloud-based patient medical records to facilitate the communication and sharing of patient data between clinicians, as well as between physicians and their patients. Prototype product offering was developed before the company was acquired.
Before IMPAC, David held several technical and management positions at Varian Medical Systems. He received his MS from Stanford University and his BS from Carnegie Mellon University.
