Hugh Martin

Hugh Martin created the vision for Sensity and the Light Sensory Network. His 35-year track record as an entrepreneurial leader of cutting-edge technology companies, new ventures, and high-growth businesses includes serving at the helm of numerous highly successful organizations. In 2011, he was named CEO for Fortune’s ‘Executive Dream Team – acknowledged for his ‘management chops’ and for successfully taking public two companies, in two different industries.

Before Sensity, Hugh was chairman and CEO of Pacific Biosciences, a leading company in third-generation DNA sequencing. He piloted the company through its IPO in 2010. In 1998, he was chairman, president, and CEO of ONI Systems, a high-speed optical telecommunications systems company, taking it public in 2000.

Hugh also was president and director of 3DO; served as a CEO-in-residence at the venture capital firm of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; and ran desktop engineering for Apple Computer.
