Kent Ho serves as cofounder and general partner at Spectrum 28, a Silicon Valley-based, early stage venture capital firm investing in companies who leverage data and computation to create and transform large industries. Kent’s focus areas include retail, financial services, hospitality, and e-commerce.
Kent is also an executive director of Sing Tao News Corporation (HK: 1105), where he is responsible for the development of digital media and related business for the group. Kent’s experience with Sing Tao News ranges from media business development, wealth management, and investments focusing on high-tech industries.
Prior to S28, Kent was a co-founder and managing partner for Harbor Pacific Capital, which provides early to growth stage capital for emerging technology companies in both the United States and Asia Pacific region. Some of his past investments include Palantir, Coupang and Evernote.
Kent holds an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s in economics and a certificate in the markets and management program from Duke University. Kent also is proficient in Mandarin and Cantonese.
