Keval Desai is a Partner at InterWest Partners where he invests in early stage tech companies. He is a board member at Cuyana, Grokker, Joyus, Locbox, TheRealReal and Triposo and investor in Crittercism, Optimizely, Victorious and others. Prior to investing, for 20+ years in Silicon Valley, Keval held engineering and product management roles at companies including Google, Digg, Tandem Computers and Global Village Communication. As an entrepreneur, he was a co-founder of Achex, an Internet payments company acquired by First Data. Earlier in his career, he got a feel for investing and strategy consulting at ONSET Ventures, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners and McKinsey. Keval holds an M.S. in computer science, a B.E. in electrical engineering and an MBA. He is on the Dean’s Advisory Board at UC Berkeley Business School and on the Department of Computer Science Advisory Board at UC Santa Barbara.
