Lilia Shirman

Lilia Shirman is a technology industry executive, investor, and advisor. Lilia is a Managing Director and Ecosystem Lead at Golden Seeds, one of the largest and most active nation-wide investor networks. Golden Seeds focuses on women leaders and diverse management teams.

Lilia is also the CEO of The Shirman Group, which she founded in 2004 to help B2B technology companies innovate and grow revenue faster through greater customer relevance. Lilia has shaped and launched solutions that generated tens of millions in annual incremental revenue for clients such as VMware, EMC, CA, Convergys, Symantec, Ricoh, MariaDB, MongoDB, and Spigit, among others. Lilia also advisory boards and as an interim executive.

Before founding The Shirman Group, Lilia led solutions, product, and alliances marketing, and market development teams at BEA Systems, where she raised strategic partner investment in joint marketing by 30% in as single year, ran a reference program that recruited over 35 Fortune 500 public references in a single quarter, and defined demand-generation strategy and programs that fed a sales pipeline to support $200M in revenue. Her experience also includes such diverse disciplines as business development and strategic alliance management, manufacturing operations, supply chain strategy, and mechanical and industrial engineering.

Lilia is the author of 42 Rules for Growing Enterprise Revenue. She mentors students in Stanford University’s Global Entrepreneurial Marketing Program and has taught entrepreneurs at Chalmers University’s Center for Business Innovation. She holds a B.S. in Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and an M.S. in Technology Management from Stanford University.
