Niko Bonatsos is a managing director at General Catalyst, a venture capital firm with offices in Boston, New York, Palo Alto and San Francisco and approximately $3.75 billion in total capital raised. Niko focuses his investment strategy on finding first-time technology founders with strong product instincts, a robust appetite for learning, and a desire to create consumer-focused innovations with the potential to benefit millions of users. In his first six years with the firm, he was instrumental in investments in Snap (NYSE: SNAP), RealtyShares, ClassDojo and Paribus (recently acquired by CapitalOne) among others. Prior to joining General Catalyst, Niko attended Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar earning an MS in Management Science and Engineering. He has studied and worked in many countries including the U.S., Greece, the UK and, as a part of the R&D team for Yokogawa Electric Corporation, in Japan. Additionally, Niko holds an M.Phil. in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Cambridge and a Dipl.-Ing in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens.
