Founder, Bay Angels

Roger King is the Founder Bay Angels, which he launched in 1998. Bay Angels has helped launch a number of well-known companies including OpenTable and Photobucket. He’s the Founder and CEO of ChiefPeople, an executive & technical recruitment firm. He is well known for finding both talent and start-up capital. Roger is an active angel investor, board member, and advisor to a number of tech start-ups including Manage, Mondobox, Trpz, Pinn.AI, AtYourGate, and Bizzinc.

He is an active member of the Bay Area tech community and has served as a judge/moderator at pitch panels in San Francisco, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Athens. He plans to host a startup competition in Havana later this year.

Roger has been published in Forbes and Fortune magazine, and appeared on CNN News as a subject matter expert (recruiting for start-ups). A serious amateur photographer, he’s become a big fan off all things Cuba and has led several photography trips there. As a hobby, he spent 5 years as a game photographer for the San Francisco 49ers.
