Was the founding SVP of engineering at Tibco Software. Tibco went public in 1999 and was doing $300M in annual revenues when I left in 2003.
As Chief Strategy Officer, helped launch and grow Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW) platform. FMW was a $2.6B business for Oracle when I left in 2008 and is the technical platform integrating and underpinning the Oracle’s business applications.
Was the CEO of Qik which was acquired by Skype is 2011.
With his wife Hideko, has been active in children’s projects in India over the past 10 years, where they helped rebuild or expand several rural schools and two orphanages. They are active, as trustees, with two local non-profits, the Family and Children’s Services of Silicon Valley and Ballet San Jose.
After a couple of years getting caught up on life, Vijay is on his 4th start-up, this one to enable Internet-of-Things for business users.
